Yesterday the Coroner’s Order over Marysville and the surrounding district
(including Buxton, Taggerty, Granton and Narbethong) was lifted.
Last night a decision was made to open the township of Marysville to allow
RESIDENTS ONLY to return. Identification will be required eg drivers licence.
Upon returning residents are reminded of the number of hazards that exist and
you are urged to exercise extreme caution. A reminder that safety kits are
available for people inspecting their properties. The kits provide protection from
hazardous substances such as asbestos. They are not designed for cleaning up.
This should only be conducted by a licensed contractor.
There will be a community meeting held on Saturday 1pm at Marysville
Community Golf & Bowls Club.
